The Woodstock Food Pantry serves our clients Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM until 3 PM. During our open hours, volunteers serve our clients who choose to visit the Woodstock Food Pantry.
We are always looking for caring individuals who are interested in helping the Woodstock Food Pantry. Client Contact volunteers:
The Woodstock Food Pantry currently utilizes about 50 volunteers in addition to the board members and officers. Volunteers usually serve once each month for one 3.5 -hour time slot (8:30 – 12 or 12 – 3:30). Basic training is provided for all new volunteers.
Typically, four volunteers will work together for a 3.5-hour shift. The volunteers will verify client eligibility and distribute available foods based on the client’s selections. Clients are provided with a “menu” of available foods in several categories and given the opportunity to choose what they want based on family size and WFP guidelines on provided menus.

Managing the supply of food is a critical role for our success
Many administrative opportunities to help facilitate the success of the food pantry
Operating the food pantry requires a focused effort on coordination. We are always looking for volunteers with organizational, communication and coordination skills
Board Members:
The Woodstock Food Pantry Board members are volunteers designated by the supporting churches. Currently eight (8) churches in Woodstock and Dorr Township are represented on the Woodstock Food Pantry Board.

- Computer intake person ( Link2Feed). Greets clients at the door and checks them into the Link2Feed system. Verifies last visit and provides client with Menu for food selection.
- Food Shopping assistants (Help clients to get the correct and appropriate amount of food from the menu)

- Food Rescue (Picks up Food donations from various sources)
- Food Inventory sorter (Performs Quality Control on the food coming in, checking best by dates, damage or spoiled)
- Food Inventory Stocker (Unload trucks and stock shelfs with incoming food

- Technical Administration (website, email, social media, Link2Feed, donation avenues, etc.)
- Grant Writers (Identify and submit the required information to secure grants)

- Food Inventory Coordinator (Coordinates the purchasing and stocking of the entire food inventory)
- Volunteer Coordinator ( Coordinates the schedules for all the volunteers)
- Communication Coordinator (Our publicist, Publicity, external communications, quality control on all external communications)
- Fundraising Coordinators (Runs the Capital Campaign, coordinate food drives, identify income sources)
- Building coordinator ( Ensures building maintenance, cleaning, Pest control, etc.)
- Operations coordinator (Open/close, on call as needed, ensure all roles functioning well, operational reporting)
